Ortega, Company Public Relations
Lourdes Ortega is a proactive and entrepreneurial media/public
relations executive. She recently handled the public relations
and community affairs for the Los Angeles edition of the
daily national Spanish-language newspaper, Hoy (Tribune
Publishing). Through her Ortega Public Relations, she
offers public relations services to corporations, film
and television production companies and various entities
for coverage in trade and consumer press.
She has worked with a clientele
list that includes: Conectados.com, the Screen Actors
Guild Foundation, National Association of Latino Independent
Producers (Conferences 4, 5, and 6), Latino Public Broadcasting
(over 26 hours of programming for public television),
CARE AWARDS presented by BizParentz.com, authors Sofia
Quintero (Divas Don't Yield, Random House) and Elisha
Miranda (The Sistahood: On the Mic, Simon and Schuster),
and the inaugural Youth Actors Expo, among many others.
Ortega began her public relations
experience working in the international television market
representing entities such as Sony Pictures Television
International, National Geographic Television & Film
and the World Poker Tour through various boutique PR agencies
in Los Angeles.
Lourdes is a California native
and a graduate from the California Polytechnic State University
at San Luis Obispo with a bachelor's degree in Modern
Languages and Literatures with a concentration in French.
